Meet Traci

 

Hey there, I'm Traci Beckstead, a country girl through and through, pouring my heart into every unique piece of jewelry I craft here at Galloway Silver Company. My journey into metalsmithing began in January 2020 when my husband, Jedediah, surprised me with an Intro to Metalsmithing class for our anniversary.

From the moment I picked up my tools, I was hooked! Leaving that class, I knew I'd discovered my lifelong passion. At 38, I made a bold leap and started Galloway Silver Company, pouring my love for handmade turquoise jewelry into every piece I create. Growing up, my mother and older sister were avid turquoise collectors, and my father was a high school rodeo coach and hobby farmer. Western wear and jewelry were a big part of my life. After the heartbreaking loss of my parents and sister within three years, creating jewelry became my refuge and a way to honor their memory.

 

 

Through Galloway Silver Company, I infuse each piece with the love and beauty they taught me to appreciate, keeping their spirit alive in every design. In my studio, I work with sterling silver, fine silver, and occasionally copper and brass. I source high-grade, rare stones from small lapidary artists, ensuring each piece is unique. My creations are born from passion and crafted with the intention of becoming heirlooms passed down through generations.
